Pastoral Care

Pastoral care lies at the heart of the student experience at Galaxy. Through our pastoral care, we support our students so they feel truly valued, are confident in themselves, and in their own abilities. Our students are supported throughout every stage of the Secondary school but are also well prepared for their lives beyond Galaxy. Social, moral, spiritual and cultural development is embedded throughout our students learning experience. It is visible in all aspects of our school life.

In Secondary school, there is a homeroom teacher who is in charge of delivering the Pastoral Care Programme and meets with students daily for mentoring and monitoring, and in order to undertake an extensive Pastoral Care Programme. The programme is firmly based on Galaxy’s guiding statements and is delivered through a variety of structured activities including guest lecturers, home visits and presentations. Camps and other external activities complement the in-school programme. The range of experiences offered by the school ensures that students are extended spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and physically. The programme is also supported by Merit Demerit Disciplinary System in the Senior school that lays out ways the school handles conduct issues.
